Why made-to-measure beats a size label
Off-the-rack shirts are cut to an average. If your chest is a size L but your neck is a size M, the label has to pick one and you live with the other. That is the gap between a shirt that fits and a shirt that merely closes.
A made-to-measure formal shirt starts from your numbers instead of a size chart. Every panel is cut to those numbers before a single seam is sewn, so the collar sits where a collar should and the sleeve ends at your wrist bone rather than halfway down your hand.

The nine measurements we stitch to
These are the numbers the order form asks for. You can measure them yourself with a tape in about five minutes, or let AI Photo Measure suggest them.
- Neck — around the base of the neck, where the collar sits. Keep one finger of room.
- Chest — the fullest part, tape level under the armpits.
- Waist — your natural waist, not the belt line.
- Hip — the fullest part of the seat, so the shirt does not pull when you sit.
- Shoulder — seam to seam across the back. This one decides whether the shirt looks tailored.
- Sleeve — from the shoulder point to the wrist bone, arm slightly bent.
- Bicep — around the fullest part of the upper arm.
- Cuff — around the wrist. This is the measurement a casual shirt skips.
- Shirt length — from the shoulder down to where you want the hem to finish.
Don't know your measurements?
Two options, both free:
- Height and weight. Enter both and the form suggests a full starting set you can adjust.
- AI Photo Measure. Take two full-body photos — one facing the camera, one from the side — and the app reads a silhouette to estimate your measurements.
AI Photo Measure is in beta. Treat its numbers as a starting point, not gospel — review each value and correct anything that looks wrong before you order. The photos are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to our servers or stored anywhere. See our
privacy policy for the detail.
Fit guarantee, returns and payment
A made-to-measure shirt is only a fair deal if a bad fit is our problem, not yours. So:
- If the shirt does not sit right, we alter it free of charge.
- If it is wrong because we mis-stitched it, we remake it free.
- You can return it within [[returnDays]] days of delivery at no cost — full details on the returns page.
- You can cancel free of charge any time before we start production.
- You pay Cash on Delivery, so no money leaves your hands before the shirt reaches them.
Looking after it
- Machine wash cold, inside out, with similar colours. Cotton is happiest below 30 °C.
- Skip the bleach — it thins the fabric long before it fades the colour.
- Line dry in shade. A hot tumble dryer is the fastest way to shrink a cotton shirt out of its measurements.
- Iron while slightly damp, collar and cuffs first.
Questions about the formal shirt
What fabric is it?
Cotton. It holds a crisp line for office wear, takes an iron well and stays breathable through an Indian working day.
Can I order it for a wedding or an interview?
Yes, but count the calendar backwards first: [[productionDays]] days of stitching plus [[deliveryDays]] days in transit. Order with a week of slack so a delayed courier does not become a crisis.
Do you deliver to my city?
We ship anywhere in India through our courier partner. Enter your PIN code with the Check delivery button in the header to confirm your area, and read the shipping policy for timings.
How is this different from the casual shirt?
The formal shirt is cotton with a structured collar and a cuff measurement, so it works under a jacket. The casual shirt is softer, uses eight measurements instead of nine, and is built for days when nobody is checking your collar.
